So: #BonWalkstheearth

On March 17, I began an 84 day leave of absence from Amazon. TL;DR -- I've spent the last sixteen years working to fix anything thrown my way. I'm taking time now to do the same for myself, traveling the world, writing, thinking and getting back to what makes me happy.

Thankfully, Washington state provides its citizens with the ability to take an unpaid leave of this length and still retain their job. I'm looking forward to returning to my wonderful team on June 9.

I've already been to Venice, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Zion National Park in Utah, and soon Dallas, TX for Wrestlemania week. There's more planned, in Seattle for Emerald City Comic-Con, in Kansas City to finally visit the Negro League Museum and then onto Orlando and Miami, Florida. Beyond that things are still up in the air though I hope to visit Barcelona, Spain; Venice, Italy and Tokyo, Japan. But I'm leaving my options open to see where life takes me.

This originally was the start of a much larger piece. Looking it over though there may be just a bit too much over sharing. I'll likely break it up and post it in bits and pieces. Meanwhile I intend to get back to writing, especially the two comics I've been sitting on for years. One is an all-ages existential adventure serial. The other is a political space opera. We'll see if I actually get beyond accumulating draft page 1s for once.

Also: expect some ranting on the comics industry.
